Detailed case study of the Saskatchewan Joint Use School Projects, the 2015 Silver Award for Innovative Partnerships winner.
The Saskatchewan Joint Use Schools Project 1 and 2, a P3 between SaskBuilds and the Joint Use Mutual Partnership team led by Concert Infrastructure Ltd., is the largest new schools construction project in Saskatchewan's history and demonstrates the value of bundling smaller facilities as one P3. The project includes the design and delivery of 18 schools for 11,100 students from kindergarten to grade eight at nine joint use sites in Regina, Saskatoon, Martensville and Warman, all communities experiencing unprecedented growth. The new schools, which will also include 810 child-care spaces and community resource space, will be fully owned and operated by their school divisions and ready for students in September 2017.
This 25-page case study provides details on the elements that made this project the Silver Innovative Partnerships winner. Information on the project includes: quick facts, procurement process, structure of the agreement, financial arrangements, risk allocation, benefits, communications, labour, monitoring, innovative features, testimonials and partner contacts.
