Evolving Project Delivery Models for Public Infrastructure

The Canadian Council for Public-Private Partnerships (CCPPP) and Borden Ladner Gervais (BLG) invite you to join us for a double-webinar series this month on Evolving Project Delivery Models for Public Infrastructure.

The webinars will provide a refresher and update on the evolving assessment of the PPP model and the consideration and use of alternative models for Canadian projects. Hear from leaders in the public and private sector and pose questions to them during our audience Q&As.

The first 75-minute session on Tuesday, June 15 at 2 p.m. EDT will focus on the Public Authority Perspective. The second 90-minute session on Tuesday, June 29 at 2 p.m. EDT will do a deep dive into the issues from the Contractor/Developer Perspective and include a wrap up on the series.

The Public Authority Perspective panel will focus on the key features of alternate delivery models (Alliance, Progressive DB, Integrated Project Delivery and others), their pro/con considerations, as well as provide a forecast on where they see the models being used in future across Canada. Our moderator is Pascale Dionne, Partner, BLG and our panellists are Mark Liedemann, President and CEO, Infrastructure BC; Michael Lindsay, President and CEO, Infrastructure Ontario; Nick Hann, Consultant, Advisor to Alberta Infrastructure (former VP – Canadian Infrastructure Bank, Macquarie); and Doug Sanders Partner, BLG.

The Contractor/Developer Perspective panel will focus on the planning, implementation and administration of these alternative delivery models and move into a more detailed discussion on the key differences and similarities between alternative models and traditional P3s, key challenges and opportunities, potential pitfalls, risk mitigation strategies, lessons learned to date and the role of funders, private lenders, equity providers and insurers. Our panellists are Jean-Louis Servranckx, President & Chief Executive Officer, Aecon; Steve Small, Senior Vice President, Integrated Project Delivery, Parsons Corporation; Darren Sokoloski, Vice President, P3 Advisory, Transportation, AECOM; and Chris Eagles, Partner, BLG.
