Infrastructure Ontario is a crown corporation of the Ontario government dedicated to the renewal of Ontario’s infrastructure: its public hospitals, courthouses, roads, bridges, water systems, and other public buildings. For some of the Province’s biggest projects, Infrastructure Ontario uses private financing (Alternative Financing and Procurement) to strategically rebuild vital infrastructure while maintaining public control. The Department of Finance and Administration has established a specialist Public Private Partnerships Unit whose primary role is to: 1) Provide advice to the Australian Government and government agencies on the use of PPP arrangements; 2) Assess specific PPP proposals; and 3) Oversee, on behalf of the Australian Government, the application and development of PPP policy.

Established in 2008, Infrastructure Australia is an independent statutory advisory council with 12 members drawn from industry and all levels of government, including five from the private sector. The site contains the National Public Private Partnership Policy and Guidelines, which were endorsed in November 2008 and will replace the previously existing guidelines in all Australian, State and Territory Government agencies.

Infrastructure Partnerships Australia is an Australian infrastructure forum, comprising public and private sector members. The site contains best practice sections, case studies and various reports covering the Australian Infrastructure sector and PPP’s.

Recent information on PPP and PFI in the United Kingdom. Partnerships UK superseded the UK Treasury Taskforce, which pioneered project finance deals in the UK public service. Partnerships UK provides PPP consulting services to the public sector.

The Programme is governed by the local authority associations in the UK, with a mandate to increase investment in local authority services through PFI and other PPP. The website includes an excellent list of guidance, case studies and project lists on local PPP over the past six years in the UK.

The National Audit Office conducts comprehensive audits of all central government activities, including the Private Finance Initiative (PFI).

The PPP Unit in the Department of Finance & Personnel in Northern Ireland has responsibility for implementation of Government policy and co-ordination of PPP within Northern Ireland departments.

As the national organization on PPP in the U.S., the NCPPP website contains up-to-date news, publications, case studies, issue papers and upcoming events south of the border.

Provided through the Reason Public Policy Institute, this is an excellent resource on the issue, including: definitions; statistics and trends; practices and strategies; over 20 specific service areas at three levels of government; details of comprehensive government programs; and the pros and cons of privatisation. Also includes a long list of studies, publications and a directory of private providers in the U.S.

The Federal Highway Administration website of the US Department of Transportation provides resources, legislation, case studies, agreements and recent news on PPP.

The site offers best practice public policy advice for private sector led growth and financial market development in developing countries, including expert analysis, databases, quick solutions, and "how-to" guides.

The CEF-O-PPP a cooperative venture between the MAPPP (French PPP Taskforce) and the IGD (French Institute for PPP). The organization is a think tank and forum for exchanging expertise and observations related to PPP. Its missions range from analysis of contracts to leading think tanks (at a legal, political and economic level) through the setup of a research centre.

The Central PPP Unit of the Department of Finance in Ireland has been established to lead, drive and coordinate PPP in Ireland. The website contains guidance, training materials, legislation and a PPP-related company list.

The Public Private Partnerships (PPP) Knowledge Centre in the Netherlands is part of the Dutch Ministry of Finance. It initiates and promotes public private partnerships, advises government agencies, and provides general information to the private sector.

The PPP Unit is part of the South Africa National Treasury. It manages projects and provides resources to other departments.
