  • Evaluates the outcomes of projects delivered by government and those delivered through partnership with the private sector in Australia. Available here.
US Department of Transportation, Report to Congress on Public-Private Partnerships (December 2004)
Ekos Research Asscoiates Inc., Tracking Public Confidence (Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, April, 2003)
  • The report summarizes responses from a national (except Quebec) survey on attitudes toward the Canada Pension Plan. Chapter 7 delves into Canadian's opinions on private and pension fund investments in public infrastructure, with the majority supporting both.

Elizabeth Brubaker, Liquid Assets (University of Toronto Centre for Public Management, 2002 – available in bookstores or at Environment Probe)
  • The book examines privatization in England, France, and the United States and concludes that the sale of treatment plants or the contracting out of their operations and maintenance has often brought capital investment, expertise, innovation, and efficiency to utilities. Ms. Brubaker cites numerous problems with traditional public service delivery models and argues that PPP’s are a better option for water and wastewater services in Canada.   • A compendium of 13 papers by various authors on PPP issues and projects including an article entitled "An Organizational Analysis of the Public - Private Partnerships in the Provision of Public Infrastructure" by Ronald J. Daniels and Michael J. Trebilcock of University of Toronto.

  • The primary source of detailed market information for public and private sector leaders in the water and transportation project development business in North America.

  • A newsletter on the latest developments in privatization in the U.S.
