Celebrating Innovation in the Healthcare Sector

The Canadian Council for Public-Private Partnerships, (CCPPP) congratulates the staff and leadership team at Women’s College Hospital in Toronto on the official opening of the “Hospital of the Future”.

For more than 100 years, Women’s College has been promoting and initiating ground breaking advancements in women’s healthcare treatments and services.

“This new facility and its innovative design is patient focused, helping women better manage their healthcare needs – all in one location,” says Mark Romoff, CCPPP President and CEO. “And it’s the latest example in the healthcare sector of how public-private partnerships make this a more liveable city and promote healthy, safe and accessible community.”

Public-private partnerships have been used to build or redevelop 90 healthcare and treatment centres across Canada over the past two decades. The innovations in their design and operations not only provide value for the money invested in the project, those innovations support improved patient care and experience.

“On behalf of the CCPPP, we applaud the work done by the Government of Ontario, Women’s College Partnership and Women’s College Hospital to bring this project to life,” says Romoff. “This state-of-the-art healthcare hub has been built on a proud history and legacy of innovation and discovery.”
